I love your idea about the salamander, and I'll also consider the Heron!
I saw that some apps can convert pictures to SVG, but I don't know if they worth it. Ill have to test.

I bought for my work a Windows 8 (required for industrial software...) Lenovo Ideapad S210 touch, so I'll see if it work well or not to draw with the touch screen. Pretty impressed with this machine for now!
