and all of this after I posed a question a couple of weeks ago which
went unresponded to.

I have all the mails I have received from this list since I first joined at
the beginning of last October, but this is the first email I have received
from you under this name.  It would appear that your mail somehow went
astray. :-(

nope. it was distributed april 23 under the subject-line 'loss of keyboard'.

I am really feeling unwanted!

Oh, don't do that!

When people don't answer it generally is for one of two reasons:  the email
didn't arrive (which it would appear may have happened in this case) or
no-one knew the answer.  Imagine if each of us replied "I don't know" to
every question to which we did not know the answer.  The emails saying "I
don't know" would outnumber by an order or two of magnitude the emails
containing useful information.  Rarely, if ever, is it because someone is
unwanted!!

I know. I was being facetious. (I tend not to use emoticons. <g>)

Anyhow, _I_ want you.  The more knowledgeable people we have on this list, the
greater the chance of my (inane?) questions getting an answer.  And the more
people who use and support Trinity, the greater the chance that it will
survive and prosper.

I have worked out arrangements with Tim Pearson.

my question remains unanswered but I haven't had time to fool with the issue. klibido allows downloading binaries from newsgroups and after the install of the trinity desktop, I cannot type in any letters in the space used for filtering newsgroup messages. no other app has this problem so far. I may try reinstalling klibido but that seems ham-fisted and I have to be careful not to lose the indexes I have.

Have you tried launching it from the console to see if the log outputs something useful about the problem?

Best regards,
Tiago

btw I am using the USA (alt-intl) keyboard layout.
