On the other hand the users mailing list is for users *of all levels* to
interact--that includes asking basic questions like these.  A gentle
pointer to the documentation along with the answer to the question is a
much better response--if the documentation is good enough then over time
people will start looking there first and asking here second.  If not (and
this was the case for much of KDE and TDE's life) then people will
logically ask here first. ;-)
