Tony,
Sorry, not yet! Good things are coming! I know I said less
positive things about the reliability of R14 some time ago,
but it has now matured a lot and now it is okay, much closer
to release.
François Andriot is the person who packages TDE for rpm-based
distros and myself, I have not tested R14 nightly builds on
PCLOS.
My test computer is temporarily Ubuntu for testing it.

Thanks Gerhard,
kgtk-qt3-trinity isn't installed by default. If I try to uninstall
gtk-qt-engine-trinity it will remove the desktop according to Synaptic.
Yes, I have seen this before. It removes the meta-packages
that contains the default list of packages needed by TDE to
work, but not the desktop itself.
You can click on the details buttons in the list of the
windows just before you hit okay to start the operation in
Synaptic to see what is installed/removed/upgraded. If you see
that tons of TDE packages are going to be removed, then
something went wrong, but if you see that the desktop package
is the only one (or maybe one or 2 others) to be removed, then
there is nothing to worry about.
Thanks!
