Oh the connection is definitely stable. I run web and email servers from here with a constant stream of traffic. On my desktop I'm always connected on IRC, plus I can always check any active bittorrents to verify my internet connection. The problem is definitely with Firefox, and only with the latest update. I may just have to dig up the .deb for version 15 and revert back for now.

Except being horribly slow on older computers (such as P3 and P4), Firefox should be stable. This is why I will replace it with Google Chrome (or Chromium) on my next livecd. You can always test if your connection is good by trying to use Konqueror.
