Possibly something funky happened with your paths since I am assuming you built from the source? Have you used anyones packages? Where do you have trinity installed?

I do not see any option in the menu for Shutdown, Suspend or Hibernate.
I only see Logout. I have enabled the options in kcontrol.

Methinks this could be related to hal. Do you have hal running and functional?
