Thank you for this. I will looking into today asap.
I did, however, resolve the sound problems with skype.

As it turns out, because the distro is a remastered ISO, it has config files
left over from the author. I had to purge pulseaudio to remove all config
files and reinstall. Once I did that, it worked fine.

I do agree with you in the skype is for crakmonkeys. I would LOVE to get ride
of it. I'll let you know if any of these work for us.
