I keep hoping that rekonq will become much more stable, or that konqueror will work with yahoo web mail, but it's been years, & that still hasn't happened. So, I'm happy to use Firefox until KDE & TDE can get a KDE web browser to work well.

Overall, I'm very happy with KDE & TDE, though.

same here :)
in fact, kde4 (> 4.9.4) has now reached a state, where even akonadified kde-pim
is usable (though still sluggish and somewhat unstable).
plus, it has lots of matured apps, like blogilo, digikam etc. and konqueror as
a web browser ist really usable (konqueror from TDE is not).
so, for modern hardware, I now recommend kde4.
on older hardware, however, kde4 is a no-go, while TDE still runs fine.
just use another browser (chromium, e.g.)
