I am very pleased to hear that from you! I try to make it feel ''at home'', right from the start, as it is PCLinuxOS way of doing it. It should not need to be tweaked a lot to be used. Everything should work as it should, out of the box.

If you have a reliable Internet connection at home, then you don't need to worry that much about the fact that it is a rolling release. If you don't need to have the latest version of programs all the time, then you can install it, install the programs you need and not even update it at all after that.

I don't understand what you wrote, but except for TDE, the utilities are those of PCLinuxOS, and most of them are coming from Mandriva (a long time ago) and this includes the places and language lists. Use the one you need! One thing is sure, it is that I haven't touched to that :)

I believe that in the PCLinuxOS installer, the local time/clock set to UTC options are not pointing at the right place. One is the other. By right-clicking on the clock on the panel, you can click on ''Adjust date/time'' to adjust you clock. It works, but you have to write your root password after.

My primary language is French, but I don't care to use my computer in English. This is why it is in English, but when I do the remaster, it keeps as the default the city I choosed when I installed it.
