It sounds like a mirror issue. There are no 0-byte package in the official repository, so there should not be on the mirrors.

Do you know exactly which mirror you are redirected to ?
The following URL :

http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity/rpm/opensuse12.3/trinity-3.5.13/RPMS/

Is just an automatic redirect to a Trinity mirror.
Please, can you find the mirror you are redirect to, and also the architecture your are using (i686 or x86_64)
