  Hi everyone,

I just did a full trinity install on debian testing a few days ago.
Things ran smoothly, no problem. Aptitude said that 2 packages had to be
replaced by the trinity ones, I said yes and then the install process
succeeded. It's good to be back on kde3/trinity, definitely the most
functional desktop environment to me. Nice job, Tim, thanks !

Now the few problems I met running it (trinity 3.5.12-0debian7+r1179711)

- many strings keeps on being in english, while they where translated in
french in kde 3.5.10. For example in kcontrol, all the choices on the
left (appearance and themes, desktop, etc.) are in english. Same with
the choices on the left in konqueror configuration dialog, or with all
the items of the main KDE menu.
This is probably due to the recent cleanup of the English i18n strings.
It may be necessary to revert those changes for the next release (3.5.13)
and alter the English .po file instead. Could you please open a bug and
provide screenshots of the untranslated areas so that the Trinity
developers can look into the issue?

- the new search field in the main menu is a nice feature but it is very
slow (ten seconds response time)
Odd. You can disable the search feature completely if its speed is a
problem, otherwise go ahead and file a low priority RFE bug on it.

- when choosing kickoff menu style, the computer part is all messed up :
only the first item is correct, the other ones have strange description
text and clicking on them produces a konqueror error (I can send you a
screenshot, Tim, if it can be helpful).
Please file a bug on this as well, with an attached screenshot displaying
the problem.

Anyway, as I said, i am happy to be home, thanks again !

You are most welcome!
