PCLinuxOS would just say that it is not an official remaster and disown
it. 

Have you checked the download?  md5sum or better?  Have you tried 
redownloading?  Have you the possibility of trying DVD instead of USB
key?

1. i checked the md5sum and it said the iso was ok. 

2. the iso looks and runs perfectly from the flash drive. 
but for some reason it doesn't install correctly. 

3. i don't have a dvd to try. i got the flash memory drive 
so that i would not have to keep burning discs.

I have installed on USB using unetbootin and then installed to Hard disk about 20 times, as I did some testing for them
It installs perfectly, but with some of them, when exiting, it would not give you the << remove usb and restart >> option,
You had to pull out the usb and reboot.( return )

This has nothing to do with install, but after install.
Doesn't affect a digit of your install and I can't it call it inconvenient either.
It just is , till June release.
