In control there is a path section you can change desktop path there.

Yes, that's what I expect if I change .config/user-dirs.dirs

In .trinity/share/config/kdeglobals I found this:

[Paths]
Trash[$e]=$HOME/Desktop/Trash/

I thought maybe there exists some unsused path setting for Desktop...

Yes, that could be a solution. Or I can live with the useless icons on the
Gnome Desktop. I understand the idea of a global Desktop folder, but for
users who use several desktops it becomes a (admittedly small) problem.
