Frankly after looking through their website,  I think this is not viable software. The program in itself nay work, but the sound engine was last released in 2005.

As a avid musician who runs a amateur studio, this is not a useful piece of software in the Linux Pro Audio community.  Currently JACK is the #1 interface for sound programs and without Jack Support, I don't think it is that useful. If you think of Jack as the "pipes and plumbing", notedit would be a faucet that isn't connected to any pipes.

I think it is not viable.
