Secure Desktop Area dialog

Hi, I am not sure I am writing to the right list, but this is the only place where I found anything about the aforementioned dialog. I am trying to create a lockdown environment using Trinity Desktop and Ubuntu 12.04LTS. It is all good and fine except that after the first login if I press CTRL+ALT+DEL the dialog appears and makes logging of, restarting the machine possible, which are some things I want to deny users. However if I log out and log in again the same key combination does nothing. I tried comparing configurations before after without success. I added new users test1, test2 and after reboot logged in using test1 then test2, skipped the wizard both times. In case of test1 the dialog appeared upon CTRL+ALT+DEL in case of test2 it did not. Even for the user with lockdown profile the same rule applies, after first login dialog appears, second and subsequent(tried 4 times) logins no dialog. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Is there a way to turn this thing off totally? What about a small comment for each WITH_* option in root CMakeList.txt by which BUILD_* option(s) it is used? I can take it up...

No longer existing packages are still in the apt repository

Tim, I was surprised when I found out that packages like tdebase-kio-trinity are still available in the apt repository, although it has been replaced by a more than three months ago. These packages now causing problems when updating from 3.5.13.x to nightly-builds. How is it possible that these packages not disappeared a long time ago? How to fix it? Besides, I noticed that the package ubuntu-trinity-rename-meta is in the build-deps and is not part of tde-packaging (probably could be named simply trinity-rename-meta, and should be included in the main repository). I think that the version of this dummy package should be set to 14.0.0, because otherwise they can not help with the transition => packages are in conflict with renamed packages. Slavek

Soft Freeze

All, I am still attempting to stay approximately on schedule for R14 release per our Etherpad here: http://trinity.etherpad.trinitydesktop.org/39 As a result, I am announcing a soft freeze of TDE starting 06/20/2013 at 00:00 GMT. If there are any new features or enhancements that should make their way into R14.0.0, now is the time to commit them to GIT before the freeze. Depending on how quickly the remaining bug reports can be resolved, a hard freeze will be announced in the coming week/weeks. Once again, thank you all for your hard work on TDE; it is much appreciated! Tim

Nightly Ubuntu LiveCDs now available

After a long delay, automated nightly builds of Ubuntu LiveCDs with TDE R14 are now available at http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/cdimages/ubuntu/ These LiveCDs offer a convenient way to test TDE R14 (or the current development branch) without risk of damaging your existing installation. They are currently experimental, however as R14 nears release an official LiveCD will be released from this autogenerated CD set. Therefore, if you want to help the offical LiveCD quality, please download the latest ISO, test it, and report any defects to the bugtracker. Enjoy! Tim
