QuickBuild update

All, I have put a significant amount of work into the QuickBuild system over the past week in an attempt to stabilize it and increase performance. While I am aware that there were some outages in random components (most notably the PPA mirror redirects) while I was doing this, all issues should be resolved at this point. As of this writing four build machines are online, one for each architecture. As we have reached the chiller fund goal (see prior messages) the remaining x86/amd64 build machines will be brought back online over the next couple weeks. Please let me know what you think, and definitely let me know if anything is still malfunctioning! Tim

halloleallemitanand, the patch to rename kdeeject -> tdeeject, should be applied to "k"dedesktop too,see Screenshots: (btw shouldn't it be tdedesktop?). Greetings Werner

All, Is this project still actively maintained? It appears to have been a while since the last update. Are there any new development goals planned? Would any of you be interested in migrating this to openSUSE Open Build Service to automate the packaging and distribution for multiple distributions? https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Build_Service The reason I ask is because we have some community member in openSUSE that are intentionally using EOL versions of openSUSE to avoid KDE 4 for as long as possible. I would like to make TDE a openSUSE desktop option for them with a OBS repo. This could hopefully help all of you pick up some additional developers as well. Thanks Tim

PCLinuxOS packages not accessible anymore

Hi, (This message is mainly for François Androit, who build the PCLinuxOS packages) I am currently updating my PCLinuxOS remaster, and I saw that the 3.5.13.2 package you built for me last spring aren't available anymore. I will still build the next release of my remaster on super stable 3.5.13.2. New CMake warning CMP0026

Hi all, during the current building, I noticed on the Debian Jessie that we have new trouble with newer CMake: CMake Warning (dev) at cmake/modules/TDEMacros.cmake:434 (get_target_property): Policy CMP0026 is not set: Disallow use of the LOCATION target property. Run "cmake --help-policy CMP0026" for policy details. Use the cmake_policy command to set the policy and suppress this warning. The LOCATION property should not be read from target "kgreet_classic-module". Use the target name directly with add_custom_command, or use the generator expression $<TARGET_FILE>, as appropriate. There are many such reports on the same topic. I do not know if simply setting the old behavior is the right way. knewstuff (not)renamed

Hi all, Tim, during current build tdebase I ran into a problem because knewstuff-shared was renamed to tdenewstuff-shared. So, I fixed all CMakeLists.txt. At the same time, I assumed that was renamed library knewstuff and I also fixed in the same way automake builds. But now I noticed that libknewstuff.so was not renamed. Now I'm so confused as to whether or not to be renamed libknewstuff? What is your opinion? -- Slavek

New theme for amarok

Hi, Here is a new sidebar theme for amarok, derived from the kubuntu amarok theme. It fits with the new TDEUI. The stock amarok theme is already good, but it would be nice if this one could be added to the list. Comments are welcome! -Alexandre

TDEUI update for Kontact (it has been forgotten...)

Hi, At the time I did the TDEUI update, I forgot about the Kontact TDEUI page, because I didn't know its existence... To see this page, go in Help/Introduction page So, here is the files for the update. If anyone here has ideas of parts of TDE where graphic design could be changed/updated, please let me know! I also added the Gimp xcf ''source'' file for the ribbon, as Michele wanted to keep it for digiKam. It is better to have it. Thank you! -Alexandre

New background wallpaper for R14

Hi everyone, Earlier this week, Michele Calgaro talked about having a new default wallpaper for R14 release. I am not always a fan of ''default background'', but I can take a look at it. My preference is for outdoor nature picture, which is, in my opinion, enjoyable to use when one have to work in a office (or plant) without windows to see outdoor, especially with today's huge screens. I provided here two examples of what could be base pictures for a default background: -The one with a tree and a plane has a lot of blue and fits really well with TDE -The Lineart-logo picture used in the new TDEUI. I find it to be very dark when used in a large area. I'd like to see if some persons here has some ideas for it. kde-look.org is a good place for ideas. The requirements would probably be: -Having both a widescreen (16:10) and a regular (4:3) version -High-resolution, to look good on the newer hi-res screens. -Maybe a TDE logo somewhere on the picture. -Maybe a TDE mascot somewhere? I want your ideas, tell me what you think! Thank you! -Alexandre
