TDE metapackages location updated

Quick note for developers/packagers. Meta packages in TDE code were located in two subfolders (defaultsettings and metapackages). They have now been consolidated into the metapackages folder. "defaultsettings" does not exist any longer. Cheers Michele

Mascot Contest submission -- Tristian

Hello to all, I'm submitting my entry for the mascot contest (maybe a little early). It was designed with Inkscape 0.92.5. The source (vector) files are included in the archive. I proposed earlier (in regard with the winner mascot) that a differently inspired variant be used for the about dialog in every release. Thus, I included 2 variants inspired from science fiction (the Hitchhiker's trilogy and the dreaded Trinitator ;-) ). I'm open for comments/suggestions. -- Philippe

Testing R14.0.11

I was wondering if the R14.0.11 testing was only available on Debian-based GNU/Linux (that I know of). On FreeBSD I attempted to switch the version in the Makefile from 14.0.10 to 14.0.11 out of curiosity and this doesn't work. can wait a couple of days but I was just wondering if the testing/experimental branch is available for other OSes. Maybe I misunderstand how different versions of Trinity are handled, but thanks for any insight in advance.

Mirroring Issues

A couple of issues with mirroring as R14.0.11 approaches. (1) Over the last two days a substantial backlog has developed. Only one mirror was up to date last night with the others between 6K and 45K files behind. (2) Over the last four days we're starting to see files that the secondaries fail to take from the primary. They appear to have pathnames similar to those shown below. The backlog of these is now approaching 600. Making new artwork with 3D Konqi

It seems like the sources for the KDE 3 artwork featuring Konqi are lost or really hard to find. I wouldn't mind rendering some new artwork featuring our mascot with a T instead of a K on his scarf in Blender but I'm not sure about the licensing status of it or where to find the model. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi, I wonder why I have the remote.origin.url set to "https://system@scm.trinitydesktop.org/scm/git" How can I change this in mass? Or should I change it at all. Now each time I work on something I have to do git remote set-url origin https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/TDE/<whatever> PS: I know what scm.trinitydesktop.org is.
