This draft document is open to peer review and changes. Whereas I am

KDE4 activities don't seem to be
about files but about managing
multiple applications:

I just tried it a little on my KDE 4.5 desktop, but I don't think it is
really better than a 2-dimensional pager for most people.
We would like to post the document soon.
