Unless TDE expressly removed share/config it should be there by default. It
holds the default config for most basic apps as well as for k/tdm.
There should also be a system-wide configuration directory in /etc/. I don't
have TDE running, but for KDE3 installed in /opt that is:
/etc/opt/kde3/
There you set system-wide defaults without having to change the actual K/TDE
defaults in /opt/tde/share/config. The default in /etc/ will override the /opt
defaults and local ~/.tde/share/config will override both.
