Because of the horror that suggestion would have produced in some of
us.
Who is the rest of 'some of us'?
Do you really want a list? How long a list? We are a not small section
of the population still. (Note: I said "you", not "u", as does the
majority of the people on this list.) I haven't noticed you saying "u".
:)
Sorry, don't get that bit.
You clearly move in educated circles. "u" for you is one of my pet hates, and
is used by the youth-aspiring middle-aged to be "cool" - or even
"kool" - (and
also, I believe by some young people)
Mind you, the Ford Ka still seems to be selling.
But not to me.
To me neither, and not least because of the name!
I
_could_ not have used something called "Kool".
Which is probably why they changed their minds.
Quite!! That is what I was suggesting. It was, I am sure, very
off-putting to most of those choosing the name.
I doubt it. Program/application names aren't necessarily meant to make
sense or be 'real' words and quite frankly, I couldn't care less about a
name, Kool Desktop Environment is fine by me, just as Klop, Knock,
Kanything in fact would have been, as long as it worked, but hey, each
to their own.
You are, of course right. I am being no more logical or reasonable than the
person on the Debian who wouldn't use MATE, although it was the perfect
solution to his problems, because it has a Spanish name. But faced with a
list, I would choose another.
I wasn't have a dig, just a bit of Christmas
joviality.
:-))
Have a good one.
And you. :-)
