Would somebody running GIT test whether you can run
kdcop? Just pop up the mini cli (Run
dialog, Alt-F2) and type kdcop.
I notice the following types of messages in the xsession log:
[dcopserver] DCOP aborting while waiting for answer from 'tdeinit_phase1-23001'
