I'll probably copy the instructions off the Wiki and place them in a text file called BUILDING or similar.

To create a tarball locally, do I need to do anything special other than remove the svn files and directories?
Nope.
Past practice for KDE tarballs was tar.bz2. Is this going to be the case for 3.5.12?
