I have no
problem with learning, but an RTFM response
rather than helping is lame. :)
It does help if you don't know where to go to learn.
The problem with self learning is that it tends to be hit
and miss. Without an understanding of the general
architecture, mistakes will be made.
In almost three decades of working in tech writing and training, I have learned a simple
lesson: telling people to RTFM doesn't work. :)
Even people who are motivated to learn need guidance.
A method that works well to help people learn is to guide them through the problem
alongside the documentation rather than just tell them to RTFM.
A short description about C/CXXFLAGS with respect to Trinity and links to sections of
relative documentation would have helped. That's all.
