you guys just keep providing evidence for what i am asserting. i'd thank you,
but i won't because it's a sad, sad point to be made.
as can be seen in your email, there is this apparent NEED to accuse others who
don't agree with you of things that are untrue. facts are irrelevant;
emotional accusation is the name fo the game. it is rampant in this community.
so let's set the record straight, once again: we do care for our existing
users, then and now.
most of our users actually wanted something more "modern" (a subjective
value). we could tell that back in the 3.5 days as more and more migrated to
even non-Free systems just because they were more modern.
you disagree with that, and i get that, and nobody says you have to agree ..
but it does not equate to KDE devs "not caring one jot for existing users". we
do, in fact, care.
this has been noted before. yet, for whatever reason, when it is pointed out
that the bad attitude of TDE isn't helping anyone .. you feel the need to
demonstrate the bad attitude. amazing.
Tim and his team picked up your discard and renovated
it and we
are extremely grateful to them.
that's great. i have no issues with that. probably nobody does. stay focussed
on that positive. everyone will be better of if you do. so far, you haven't
been able to. that's the problem.
