In Konqueror, open a directory containing several
compressed files.
Select all of the files.
Open the popup context menu (right-click).
There is no option to compress those files into a new archive.
Bug or misconfiguration?

Sounds like a "feature" to prevent recompression of compressed files,
which almost always inflates the resultant archive to a larger size than
if it was compressed once.
Any thoughts from others on this list?
