lex/flex is a program that generates source code, $LDFLAGS shouldn't be fed on it.
This is a bug somewhere in the automagic because LDFLAGS wasn't even on the lex/flex menu. It ate that on its own ;-)
It may be an Arch bug in the way makepkg.conf interfaces with the lex/flex calls because that is the only place LDFLAGS comes from in my build.
