Where? At the very least it needs to be moved to a more logical place as I have never seen it in the years that I have been using KDE/TDE.
And yes, I am fully aware of the internals of TDE and the fact that WMs can be autodetected with the .desktop files. I mentioned the end effect (the user can choose which WM executable to use) to be precise.

Unfortunately .desktop files won't work for all WM's. I think it would be simpler to just have a command line option. this also makes it easy to use certain flags for your WM
