Thanks - I did that, removed the empty cmake
directory, and renamed
the tde-common-cmake folder to cmake. That seems to have helped with
that error.
Seems like there could be a better way to handle the shared cmake files?

It should be sufficiant to run:
git submodule init && git submodule update
This will automatically clone cmake and admin subdirectories.
