FYI: From the syncevolution thread with Tino Mettler - syncevolution debian maintainer. He's looking for a sponsor to be able to upload 1.5.1 to debian testing with a fix for the bug 824426. I think the easiest way would be to add a patch on top of the debian src and produce *-trinity packages to overwrite the debians packages. Perhaps this would be also the proper approach for Suse etc.
