Sad but a mayor reality, the solution maybe its port kofice 2 brand, but
curent work in TDE its a lot of, so if more people colaborate with devel
team in TDE and some people join to mantain or port koffice, its better.
currently TDE its focused on defines way of work and progress port of
portion of kde3 , so currenly porting to cmake. So currenly its a lot of
work..

Maybe we can see this as "koffice is a part of the free software ecosystem"
(and is surely a good software too). But supporting koffice in TDE might be
a lot of work, so this is really a matter of priority/human capacity instead
of subjective battle, isn't it?
