To save you from future problems, buy an HDD for which newegg reviews of
1-star do not exceed 10%. HDDs that have 20% of 1-star reviews are drives
prone to be dead in a few months, as you can check by the comments.
Unfortunately manufactures seem to be skipping on QA a lot these days.
