Anyway, I've had to apply a part of commit #5dcbbbba before bp006 in order to get it to work. See attached patch.

Ha, interesting. When applying patches on Debian probably allowed more fuzzy because it applied without a hitch. But I will fix the patch to go without applying the part 5dcbbbba... corrected patch attached :)
