Sorry,
to clarify, the home page has several thumbnails, which instead of
referring to actual thumbnail (scaled down) images, they are just scaled
down in css. This makes the load time longer. A good solution would be to
just refer to thumbnails in the small folder.

I'm not sure what you mean...are you simply referring to the folder I put
the scaled mainpage thumbnail in? If so then it really belongs in a
"medium" folder as it is neither small nor large.
