IIRc, whenever I upgrade an installation for the first time after a new TDE
release. Time between upgrades can be anywhere from a week to a month to 4, 5, 6
months or more.
(2) Also could you please provide a console log of the
error, preferably
from the apt update all the way through the failed upgrade.
What exactly is "console log"?

If you know how to purge the junk from typescript files, I'd appreciate hearing
about it.

Never happens except with some TDE package. I don't recall ATM if it's only with
.debs, or if it happens with .rpms too.
