why would it use arts? Nobody has used arts for years, even when KDE3
was around, people were sticking with alsa and oss. I would rather
trinity go away from arts in the long run.

KMPlayer for me very upset that the audio output does not use the arts. As
a result, the volume controls 'master' instead to control only its own
volume, as it does kaffeine.
