Although the email will be written in English, what is an appropriate German salutation and closing? Culturally, would using German appear as a gesture of good will or not?
I think it will not. english is the commonly accepted language for international communications in IT, everything else would have a smell of 'anbiedern' :) (not sure how to translate that :)
I get the idea. "Sucking up" or "brown nose" might be an equivalent English meaning. :-) That is what we needed to know. Thanks.
