That would be
like me, but no, it's checked. (see: screenshot) Do you see
thumbnails on the left side of the window (where I have all the camera icons)
when you add files to showfoto?

A couple of other issues as well.
I have no preview of the photos in the file-open dialog like normal

There is no icon for the 'General' setting in showfoto configuration
