Can Trinity be built with those packages installed? Do
any of them
have to be removed in the build environment?
I did all of my builds with KDE4
installed and running. Also, KDE3 can
run as user 1 when KDE4 runs as user 2 but if user 1 is the same as
user 2 it doesn't work (tried with Xephyr).
If you use my kdeetc3.tgz Slackware package, you will just have to
$ unset KDEDIRS
(it's an environment variable from /etc/profile.d/kde.sh which
interferes with KDE3) before executing /opt/trinity/bin/startkde (at
least with .xinitrc which is the method I use with startx), although
you will have to adapt the package to the /opt/trinity install path
since the files are directly from the /opt/kde3-prefixed
kde-3.5.10-for-slackware-13.0 packages.
Thanks.
