How are messages forwarded to the list? Many times I have sent messages/replies that
don't arrive in my mail box for a long, long time and other times the messages appear
within seconds.
Currently I have two replies not yet in my mail box, but I already received a reply I sent
after those two.
Strange or normal behavior?

For Yahoo that is normal. Yahoo can queue outgoing messages for a long,
long time in my experience.

Well, you can look at the headers of the message once
it
makes it to the
list. For the FTBFS message (which I am ignoring as
requested ;-)) my
server did not receive the message until after 4:00 CDT,
while it was sent
at around 2:00 CDT. I wonder if something upstream
from me is delaying
list traffic, or if the big Email providers just delay
sending mail for
that long?
Okay, so there is a delay --- somewhere. I am now getting messages I sent much earlier
today.

At 12:24 I sent a reply to your 12:09 question "[systemtray] Clearing area to set
background." I have yet to see that message roll through. My 12:24 response is not in
the list digest either. Something upstream is causing the delays.
