Tim knows about it, but atm no idea.
NM 0.9 hasn't been released yet so then mani old (and new) KDE components do fail build on 0.9, and i heard that the Fedora folks are currently working on fixing it
svn NM is still crude but some code now works, to currently no release of debian NM has worked for me decent, wicd is much better, I propose an interface for managing wicd daemon rather marry KNM&NM with trinity! theres still many bugs around NM and VPN and WIFI conections!
so for now, must while a cup and build agains 0.8.XXX brand, }

There are patches, but they're working on KDE4.
