For the time I used Linux Mint with TDE, I had to use the same TDE packages built for the corresponding Ubuntu base system, so I guess that it is the same thing. Example, if LMDE is built on Debian 7 base system, just use the Debian 7 apt sources and it will work flawlessy.

Debian testing = Jessie. Builds are available on the nightly build website or Slavek repo.

But, use the sources package lists here, with the appropriate changes, as Michele said: http://trinitydesktop.org/wiki/bin/view/Developers/NightlyBuilds
