I would like to evaluate the possibility of using TDE R14.0.0 on my PCLinuxOS TDE remaster. Are the PCLInuxOS TDE packages ready?
I would also like if it is possible to still keep the 3.5.13.2 packages until the next TDE release, since they are ultra stable.

Why did you wrote that Mr. Butterworth? First of all, it is irrelevant. It does not concern you in any way. Second, it's François Andriot who build the package for most RPM distros, and not you. He does excellent work and I would like to thank him for doing that. Third, you are top-posting, which is impolite. Fourth, you are not forced in any way to use my PCLinuxOS TDE remaster. So...........

The RPM packages for R14 will be first available for: - CentOS / RHEL 6 - CentOS / RHEL 7 - Fedora 20 - Fedora 21 - Mageia 4 - openSUSE 13.1 - openSUSE 13.2 - PCLinuxOS
And, maybe in a second time: - CentOS 5 (does not build currently because some new udisks related features cause FTBFS, as in openbsd) - Fedora 19 - openSUSE 12.3 (will be EOL on january 15th)
All other distributions currently having RPM for 3.5.13.2 are now EOL (end of life). I won't build R14 for them.

C'est parfait!Je vais surveiller ça! Je vais premièrement évaluer si TDE R14 fonctionne bien sur PCLinuxOS, parce que pour l'avoir testé sur Ubuntu, il y a encore un paquet des petits détails achalants. Mais PCLinuxOS est une très bonne base, donc ça devrait être tout de même très bien.
Quand tu construit tes paquets, est ce que tu le fait sur une base PCLInuxOS complètement à jour? Vu que c'est une rolling release, la base se mets à jour avec le temps. La seule partie qui n'est pas rolling release est le noyau, que l'on doit choisir manuellement dans Synaptic la version désirée.

Hi Alexandre, I've built Trinity R14 for PclinuxOS in freshly installed virtual machines running the newly released PCLinuxOS DVD. (December 18th I believe). I also have older PCLinuxOS VM that I used to build TDE 3.5.13.2. I will re-use them to try the Trinity upgrade.

J'ai essayé d'adapter le nom des dépôts pour que ça marche avec TDE R14, mais je n'ai pas réussi à les adapter...
Qu'est-ce qu'il faut écrire dans le fichier de sources de dépôts pour que ça marche avec R14?

Pour le dépot R14 il suffit d'une seule ligne, au choix:
32-bit: rpm http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity/rpm/pclinuxos/ trinity-r14/RPMS i586 noarch
64-bit: rpm http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity/rpm/pclinuxos/ trinity-r14/RPMS x86_64 noarch
Par contre il semble que les miroirs ne soient pas à jour au niveau des métadonnées puisque j'ai des erreurs quand j'essaye d'installer. Je pense qu'il faut encore patienter...

Avec ça, ça fonctionne! Je suis en train de le télécharger. Est-ce que c'est possible que le repo redirigé automatiquement ne soit pas encore prêt?
