Hi all,
By looking at the Linux news feeds in Akregator, I saw no news about the release of TDE R14.0.1. I would like to know if anyone has contacted them to let them know about the new release?
Is is important, because it might bring new devs, more users and possibly more donations too.
Have a great day! -Alexandre

That's somewhat odd; the RSS feed here shows the release announcement: https://trinitydesktop.org/rss.php
I wonder if the overloaded TDE server connection is preventing Akregator updates, or if the Akregator URL is incorrect?
Tim
(Sorry for top posting; I'm on my phone)
Well I was talking about having the news appear on OTHER news feeds, not only on the one of trinitydesktop.org

Ah, gotcha. Do you have suggestions on how to get TDE on other peoples' relevant news feeds?

Hi,
Here is what I found:
For LXer: http://lxer.com/module/newswire/stories/
For LWN.net: For story submissions, questions, typo reports, and general issues, send mail to lwn@lwn.net. In most cases, we request that you use this address rather than contacting individual LWN authors directly - somebody is always watching the lwn@lwn.net address.
By searching a little bit on the news feeds websites, it is often possible to find a way to submit a news. This is important to do because it might bring new devs, users, and donations.
Have a great day! -Alexandre
Best way to make the news is to submit news stories / press releases to lwn, hacker news, etc. We did it for r14 and it was very successful.
I posted this on reddit to good effect

As far as I remember (I can't check because the website is incredibly slow today) a news was posted on the main website, which also means it should have been published in the RSS feed. Perhaps some problem with the feed? Cheers Michele
