Just points to consider from the article. I think this can go for any software (Windows and Mac included). Since I am not a developer and don't have to do releases, I never thought about what the journalist was saying.
We have an etherpad where we already collect this information, including a draft press release and press contacts.
More than help with those tasks, we need help with the following:
* Reviewing top level help handbooks.
* Reviewing the proposed R14 README.
* Further testing of the r14-xdg-update script.
* Reviewing and updating the wiki.
* Reorganizing a web site that is functional yet needs a little "pizzazz." R14 is a big release, especially from a public relations perspective, and adding fresh polish to the web site would coincide nicely with the R14 release.
* For coders, helping with those bug reports listed in the etherpad that have been identified as R14 "blockers."
* Testing patches that are already attached to bug reports.
* Developing a detailed wiki page for compiling LibreOffice with Trinity dialogs.

I wasn't giving out tasks. I have no right to give out tasks.
I was giving points from the article on what the journalist liked about a release. I read the article an I was like wow. Rarely do software projects consider what journalists would like.
- Developing a detailed wiki page for compiling LibreOffice with
Trinity dialogs.
That's cool but are end users (like me) expected to compile LibreOffice in order to use it with Trinity or will binaries be offered. If binaries will be offered, the the wiki needs to be on a developer only wiki. My mother and sister just want to type letters not compile. Just saying.

BTW, can I help with some non-programmer tasks? If so, show me where...
