Hi,
I adapted one of the latest KDM theme from KDE-look.org to make it work on TDM. I call it Minimalist, and it is largely inspired by Ubuntu LightDM theme. It uses TDM background.
A lot of adaptation was needed to make it work, and would like if it could be added to the TDM theme list.
Tell me what you think! Thank you! -Alexandre

No problem for me, we can add it. Let's also see other's opinion. Cheers Michele

It's small, we're not removing anything or changing defaults, it offers another look+feel choice to the user, so I say why not add it?

Even for me, no objections.

Great! Also, it integrates very well with Ubuntu, because it is similar to the default LightDm. The only difference is that TDM user list cannot be set to have anything else than a white square background, so I couldn't keep the user list, as on LightDM.
Thank you! -Alexandre

Go ahead. It doesn't look like it'll add that much to the download size (less than half a minute extra time required at phone-modem speeds, even).

Alex, all, I have tried out the Minimalist TDM theme and it looks quite nice. The background.png image was missing, so I used the background.png file from tdelibs/tdeui/about. There is one thing that I still need: a screenshot with the new background, because I would like the screenshot.png to match the actual colors. Any idea how to get that? I tried the usual "print screen" way, but it doesn't seem to work.
Cheers Michele

Hi,
Oops! I provided the old xml file!
To have it to use the default TDM background, here is the modification to do in the XML file: <!-- backgound image --> <item type="pixmap" id="@@@TDMBACKGROUND@@@" background="true"> <normal file="background.png" scalemode="crop"/> <pos x="0" y="0" width="100%" height="100%"/> </item>
To have a screenshot of it, I don't see anything else to do than starting a TDE LiveCD in a VM, and taking a screenshot of the VM window. I will provide the screenshot later today. TDM does not provide a way to have a screenshot.
Thank you! -Alexandre
