I'll start working on that.
To test fully means building koffice, which is not possible with the latest libwpd:
Bug report 1169, koffice FTBFS with libwpd >= 0.9
Hopefully somebody can patch koffice for the latest libwpd.

On Debian / Ubuntu we simplify it by the appropriate version libwpd in trinity-build-deps repository. :)

I don't understand. The koffice make files specifically looks for the pkg-config file, hence the error.

In debian/ubuntu repository trinity-build-deps we have package libwpd version 0.8.14. To build koffice is therefore used this package from trinity repository. But you're right, it would be better to prepare KOffice to build with libwpd 0.9.x.

Oh, okay, now I understand what you meant. Thanks.
Unfortunately, my build scripts need to support the upstream stock package set, which now includes libwpd 0.9.4. Like many reported bugs the past few months, such as gcc 4.7, libpng 1.5, etc., sooner or later this bug will affect everybody building Trinity packages.
