Please share any Trinity related progress or news for the week of Aug. 25 to Sep. 1!
In addition to a bug tracker report, the information will be shared with the trinity-devel and trinity-users mail lists as well as the Trinity RSS feed.
In the hope of encouraging short term goals, I am going to include a section called "Bug Report Focus," which will be intended to help developers and testers focus on areas needing help. I'll include only three bug reports each week. That list will change as the bugs are resolved.
My proposed Bug Report Focus for the next week:
Bug report 1169 Build issue: koffice FTBFS with libwpd >= 0.9 Bug report 976 "My Documents" device is broken Bug report 975 Apps do not honor/use the Documents location set in user-dirs.dirs
The proposed Bug Report Focus is subject to change based upon feedback received through this email.
I'll post the news release Tuesday.
Thank you!
Darrell

After a quick repair package kstreamripper we joint effort with François managed to repair the package tde-style-qtcurve. This again approached completion v3.5.13.1.
Bugs interesting for me: #1188 Build issue: tde-guidance can not work #1079 tooltips remain on screen when lock engaged #1055 On some pages Konqueror very like crashes
Note: SRU we will write as "software release update" or "stable release update"?

Bug report 1188 is distro specific. I want to propose a weekly Bug Report Focus list that does not contain proposed patches, short-term work-arounds, or are distro-specific, and for the very near future, help both 3.5.13.1 and R14. I will swap 1079 with 1169 because I suspect most people who want to update 3.5.13 to 3.5.13.1 will not be doing so on bleeding edge distros but on distros that came with 3.5.13 last year. So the new proposed Bug Report Focus:
1079 tooltips remain on screen when lock engaged 976 "My Documents" device is broken 975 Apps do not honor/use the Documents location set in user-dirs.dirs
Bear in mind I can't and won't force anybody to work on these bugs. I'm only trying to provide a mechanism through which we can focus on bugs to keep the project moving forward. Yes, this idea could flop in an ugly way if no progress ever comes forth on those bugs. We have no short term project goals and I'm hoping this idea will provide some encouragement and motivation. :-)
Note: SRU we will write as "software release update" or "stable release update"?
Which is technically correct?

Stable; all our software release is our software release updates. Point of the SRU is a stable branch of the original release emphasizing stability is key On Sep 2, 2012 10:47 PM, "Darrell Anderson" humanreadable@yahoo.com wrote:
