All,
Really strange behavior in 'konqueror --profile filemanagement' where you
cannot select multiple discrete filenames in konqueror by pressing the [ctrl]
key and clicking. The feature has always worked in KDE, but apparently has been
broken in TDE for a while. I just checked 3.5.13-sru-1 and it is broken there. I
can't believe this hasn't been flagged before now. Can someone please confirm
this on your install.
open konqueror file manager
select a directory so you are viewing multiple files on the right side
press and hole the [ctrl] key, now try and select multiple random files
(you should be able to select/deselect any file without changing your other
selections)
If you cannot select multiple files with the [ctrl] key pressed, let me know.
This is a break in fundamental chooser behavior in konqueror.
I have confirmed this bug in both 3.5.13-sru and R14 branches and compared it
to correct behavior in openSuSE KDE3. KDE3 works just fine, TDE doesn't.

I just tried this yesterday night and it worked perfectly. Something must
be wrong in your setup?

Yes, but it should not behave differently as far as file selection is concerned
between KDE3 and TDE. None of those bugs and 'Enhancements' are implicated in my
comparison with TDE 3.5.13-sru-1 from 7/2012 build.
For me, in konqueror [ctrl]+click asks just like 'click'. If I select a file
with 'click' and then [ctrl]+click another file, the first selection is LOST.
Try selecting kcontrol->Mouse->'Single-click opens files and folder'

I'm searching, but I cannot figure out what in the setup could effect this? I
just have konqueror configured in "Detailed View" and that is the only change
from default that I'm making. Any Ideas?

That is my config, and that is where I see this bug. Even with 'Single-click
opens file and folder' selected, [ctrl]+click should work exactly the same.

Damn -- it's working now, disregard. Something must be breaking it TDE is
running. I just logged off/then back in, tested again and [ctrl]+click works as
expected.
I have no idea what could have caused the behavior to change.. There were NO
config changes between the "not working", then shutdown, the restart
"working"
situations....
