That is what I'm talking about - needed patches that fix basic flaws in the code that were traditionally applied to the kde3 codebase that have never been incorporated into the tde git tree.

Good point -- not critical, so I'll just file it as a feature request. I just thought at some point all of this stuff was moved into the tree. All of the fit and finish stuff.
Take a look at the 08-kip_kdesktop_rounded_icon_text_corners.patch and give it a go. I'll pass along the feature request number when filed.
