While interesting, remember that the author is primarily a Gnome 2 user,
and that KDE3 and Gnome 2 users never really got along very well. ;-)
KDE4 has more in common with Gnome 2 than TDE does.
Simply, he is looking for a different feature set that he found in MATE.
